Search for tall grass, old roofs, old cars/ boats in the yard, snow not shoveled.Some people found great partners doing out of state deals, but it requires some serious thought.Seller finance deals, check craigslist and use that as a keyword, I've found some opportunity in my direct mail campaigns but have never successfully scored one yet.

This YOUNG couple were somehow on disability & sat inside all day with their 2 babies smoking incessantly. 

Hi Thomas, welcome to BP from another Buffalonian, not sure what the draw is to Florida over our snow though...lol.My wife and I are hoping to eventually head south as well someday.  

I would probably have 8% for repairs & maintenance like broken windows, snow removal/landscaping, and other small repair items.

Tourists are gone, summer workers are gone and a good number of residents are gone - or will be before the first snow. 

Who is doing lawn care/snow removal?

Or piles of snow building up around the house. 

If we have 10 feet of snow, what will your expenses look likeBecause you are a psych, there is a good chance you can rent out additional space to various other professionals -- maybe even professionals in similar but not overlapping fields.I suggest looking on Craigslist for offices paces.
