@Lyndon Major Depending on your budget and if you are willing to try areas like Staten Island, the Bronx, or some parts of Queens and Brooklyn, you should be able to find a duplex to househack.

during the "boom" times but COVID has loosened everything up and now 5% can be had in Manhattan, 6%-7% in Brooklyn and even 8% in the Bronx.

With 250K you can try Brooklyn (Bay Ridge or Midwood), or Jersey City (the Heights or Journal Square).

@William Collins hi how are you coming along today, we're from Brooklyn ny market is very tough here so we want to explore a new area which there is a demand for rentals and we can get good at least 10 cap deals and it should get good apprised (we're doing the BRRR) so we've looked up a few areas, Putnam Ct looks a nice area we would like to buy a nice amount of properties our question is if rentals is a item there and here a little more info from a insider from that areathanks so much  

Looking at 2 and 3 family buildings in Brooklyn NY, where I would live in one of the units.  

Other similar cities are, Brooklyn, Euclid, South Euclid, Bedford, Maple Heights, and Willowick.

Not like Brooklyn nyc they appreciate with little to no cashflow.
