Crowdfunding makes real estate easily accessible, however, in regard to institutional/syndicated real estate investments, the advice of an expert who works in the industry every day, knows all the players and their track records, and performs due diligence on each offering is a great benefit to you and comes to you at no cost.

I know there's a small cottage industry of companies doing CLE for attorneys and would imagine there must be something similar for CPAs.

I am based in New England. 30,000 foot view of my model is  to identify underutilized/value add opportunities and raise capital on a deal-by-deal basis (multi-family, industrial and self-storage).

At that point you get go back to marketable securities (retail garbage) and live pretty comfortably flying first class.For me its transitioning to stabilized lighter value add apartments as a LP (letting the young proven operators work for me) and NNN, and non correlated investments like infinite banking, life settlements, and IULs.
