We had a lot of experience as business people so we were able to look at the traditional way of doing things like property management and a lot of experience with sales and were able to develop processes to grow our business.

Biting more than you can chew is how we grow - you need to get out of your comfort zone, that's one thing.Secondly, buying 4 properties for 100k and selling 3 of them for 135 each would leave you with 1 free and clear.

My wife and I are looking to start our real estate investing business and are trying to consume as much info as possible to hopefully avoid a few mistakes down the road!

However, sounds like the FIL could manage and GC the rehab on the flips, such that it wouldn't be so time consuming for you.

I would like to make connections and build relationships that would allow me to learn and grow as a real estate investor.
