I would guess it would be pro data based on the replacement property cost for each, but I’m throwing darts.BTW, your 15% calculation on $16k cap gains would be $2400, not $1600....small brain fart I know.

q=CFPB+complaint+lin...Sorry for a bit of diversion into an example,,, a story: I filed a CFPB complaint on paypal.com, took me less then 5 minutes on the URL above, yes _THE_ paypal and poof, they contacted me in a few weeks and the big paypal stopped their preditory trying to force you to pay with their credit card they where trying to cram down ebay / etc payers.
