I am currently employed as a salaried financial advisor at a large company, but like many others in the corporate world, I am increasingly attracted to the idea of leaving the cubicle lifestyle, getting into the world of real estate, and achieving the American Dream, which to me entails traveling the world while I generate passive income from my rental properties.  

What I have done before when I moved out of state for a few years, was to register my Colorado corporation in the other state as a foreign corporation and used my sister as my registered agent in Colorado.

But, I'll can give you some recommendations of corporate/business attorneys to speak with.

If someone is covered up with large corporations and doing this business is an afterthought  where they typically work on much larger deals I want to know that upfront.

You might want to consider is forming some type of corporation or a LLC.  

I tend to agree that 2018 is when the shift will happen as that is when all these corporations coming will be fully staffed.

You might be better off targeting corporate renters (30 days+) or getting a place somewhere in the surrounding area that's less restrictive. 

Also you'll be very wise to make sure the JV/flipping side of your business is kept separate corporately from your buy and hold side.
