@Chris MichelIn regards to Brockton, the city has started to rally around the old infrastructure of downtown by increasing density zoning, update city owned reposed buildings, attract new businesses, ect.

The HOA is responsible generally for maintaining the roof, the exterior paint, the grounds, and a major portion of the infrastructure, such as main sewer lines, parking areas, water supply mains, electrical to some extent, and "common" areas such as pools, fitness centers, or other amenities.
