I hear this question often and my answer is always “it doesn’t real matter” There are pros and cons to both strict relaxed and even in between Just pick one and rock it.

It's less touristy but that also means more room to spread out on beaches and relax in the quiet.

If you are buying a property (especially multifamily), and more than 1 tenant was recently placed, beware - they might have relaxed screening criteria to rent at 100% occupancy.

A little more relaxed of a region, with a wide variety of homes old & new.

In the off season my 3+1 is booked most nights while my 4+3 is booked solid and I can charge a lot more during holidays. 

Thank you for your service in the military, but relax a little bit.

It is appealing to me because it seems like a great place to visit a few times a year and also to bring the family on a holiday every year.

Ideally someone who is available and willing to come when emergency happens like weekends and holidays ;) At the end it is worth it, it is a sought after amenity and my properties with pool rent better and for higher ADR.
