Tim,I am not a believer in gold, though I have alot of family that trade gold for a living.I believe those stores will be short lived, as soon as the economy improves, people won't have as much a need or an urge to get rid of their old jewelry.

I'd be sure to inspect all the little areas where anything could be hiding, also I lift up the furniture (checking the floor and carpet), and always look under the sinks and check the plumbing.
