And even if I end up selling when moving, the right deal does seem to make sense over renting according to the nytimes calculator and so on, so long as the period of occupancy is high enough.I'll also suspiciously consider hard-money lending and other such pooling of capital, but I wonder about evaluating the capability and trustworthiness of those doing the heavy lifting without knowing much about REI myself.And thanks for keeping the real estate market humming along for chumps like me.

The accounting capabilities are limited but it does offer alot of useful features like a tenant portal and automated mailing service which we utilize on a regular basis.

I use it quite a bit in my area to look up tax info, past sales, etc.Lately I have be tinkering with the search functions a lot more and found some really cool capabilities within the system.

I'd say pay for it yourself, file with your insurance and let them fight whoever for reimbursement.Make sure you take lots of pictures and might want to get a couple written estimates for the insurance companys.
