Most of you probably know, but I wanted to get the word out that Realtors are now considered Essential personal (With Restrictions) We have an update from the Governor, and real estate agents are now able to do the following under the current “Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order: 1.

All construction is limited to essential construction only which effectively put an entire stop on our operations.

Listening to the podcast, reading the essentials Rich dad poor dad, 4 hour WW etc, (actually listened to the audiobooks rather than read the books), Endless "This old House" youtube videos and any books on housework that I can find for a buck or two at my local goodwills. anything I can get my hands on on a lackluster student income.

I closed on 3/17/2020, and this is right when the COVID-19 started to become much more serious and the city essentially shut down.

@Paul Welden I get what you are saying, but finding a GC who wants to waste time on a sub 30k rehab with FHA paperwork has been tough for the past few years.

It could get messy, and do your parents want to get involved and share all their finances (loans require a lot of paperwork) and have their names on the hook if something goes wrong?

@Zee D. this was just announced yesterday in IllinoisIllinois DCEO Says Open Houses are Not Allowed Today, the Illinois Dept of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has added language pertaining to real estate as an essential service to the official DCEO guidance on Essential Businesses and Operations FAQs.

But it seems like most everything outside of gyms and movie theaters are still essential businesses.
