@Tommy Sessions so if it is a general contractor that is doing the non-mechanicals, I.e., the flooring, the drywall, painting, etc. would you consider that type of contractor to not be the right type to pay hourly?

if I understand your question, the answer is that you cannot engage in 1031 exchange successfully in a property you already own.
