I need help answering an insurance/tax question for which I am getting varied responses from the ‘experts’.

I would then seek out a competent attorney that has a background working with real estate investors (one with specific knowledge of wholesaling or assignment of contracts and the marketing of such).

The taxes of the property will weigh on your qualifying ratio and so will the insurance...and both of those will require a Loan Officer with knowledge of the local market you are moving to in order to calculate properly. 

@Jake Calle Based on personal experience and market knowledge, the first areas I would suggest looking into are the neighborhoods south of Gandy Boulevard in South Tampa, West Tampa, and, if you're open to wood-frame build houses in an up and coming / hot area, certain parts of The Heights (Tampa Heights & Seminole Heights).
