I looked into syndicates years back with Lifestyles Unlimited and found that passive investors receive a much smaller percentage compared to active investors or managers.

I particularly benefit from Joe Splitrock, Russell Brazil, Jonathan Greene and many others.I think your first post had some truth to it too, the early podcasts have a lot of "nitty gritty" and now some of the newer podcasts are more business and lifestyle focused.  

If you haven't gotten the chance to listen to that episode you really need to.I think this is sharing life style is where its going to be at in the near future.
