2) Hawaii recently passed a new law stating anyone that rents their property short term must register and get a tax ID, have an on-island representative (a property manager, lawyer, real estate agent but not a maid/ housekeeper) and any online advertisement for your rental must include in the description the tax ID and your on-island representative.

Here are a few ways it may be utilized: 1) Correct title ownership vesting when really messy2) Perfect ownership pending a Partition Action3) Remove incorrectly recorded voluntary liens (example: neighbor's lender cites your address and legal description on their loans' trust deed or mortgage)4) Eliminate claims or threats to title resulting from imperfect transfers like Sheriff or Tax Sale (at least here in CA)5) Also, here in CA we have a method of Quieting Title used within the probate courts to eliminate dual tracts and multiple cases.
