The good rule of thumb is that if a structure is built after 1973 it is likely post firm (meaning newer construction) and "in theory" should have been built in compliance with flood map guidelines (typically 2 feet above the current BFE at that time.

I could see tile underneath, and from the appearance I believe it may contain asbestos.Since I haven't dealt with homes this old before, that then triggered the thought that there may be other materials in the home that contain asbestos.

You can transfer the title into an LLC later but that can trigger a due on sale clause.
