That being said, I agree that having a STR specific policy is much better because of the extra coverages offered that addresses things common to the STR industry such as: liquor liability, hot tubs, jet ski's, golf carts, etc.

The swings in prices tend to be larger.So if you are good at timing the market you could do well with "problem" properties.
