Could the two LLCs be registered in different states, and one of them didn't do a property foreign entity registration?

Since I am an foreign investor I also decided to go the TK route and will visit the US at the end of Dec 2017, interview providers, look at property and pull the trigger on my 1st overseas property.

If you set up your LLC in a state that's different than the state you're actually doing business in (where the properties are), you will have to pay a "foreign entity" tax/fee each year.

I have had a long career in institutional real estate (office/tower leases for Sprint for ex) in addition to practicing law all with the same objective that you have.  

Keep your seed capital close, and perhaps invest in a foreign currency that may not be as badly affected by an impending financial crash. 

I would say you get the best return on investment properties, but again that all depends on the acquisition price, property management, repairs, rental amount etc..As far as stock I'm hearing Mutual Funds and Forex. 

It is subject to very limited case law so it is difficult to determine if it will hold up in court in a foreign state that does not have any statute that permits or recognizes the creation of a series LLC.
