@Daniel Graham Wright Sounds like a solid plan...it's really all relative...it's better to focus on what the data is telling us, rather than the news headlines...multifamily (residential) and single family residential behave in a very different way...even though they are closely related.

It serves two purposes, it allows for a water proof cover for the joint & gives you a better caulked finish for the shower door frame.I also always add a 2x4 behind the joint to ensure a good solid screw anchor for the shower door framing.Tough to see but it blends in nicely & the PVC wraps around the corner on this one.
