I'd love to help you out and run some market analysis for you to determine if your property would be a good fit to use as an STR or not. $100k in equity really doesn't seem like too much, especially for a brand new house like yours.

I'd suggest asking a realtor for a CMA (comparative market analysis) to see what the value is.Without a motivated seller, it might be a tough road.

Based on this analysis I thought I was getting a much better deal.
