I might be relocating to the Williamsburg, VA area for work this summer.

I’ve been planning a relocation recently avoiding states that have income taxes.

If you can find find them, seal the deal, negotiate the right price, its a WIN WIN for everyone (Homeowner - Avoids Foreclosure, Possible Relocation Fees  / Banks - Less Foreclosed Home on thier Books, Carrying Costs, Time &.............

You also need to check with the utility companies and get cost estimates from them for availability, fees, hookup charges, transformer and power line/power pole locations or relocation requirements, water, sewer,gas, cable etcYou will need ball park cost estimates from site work contractors for site work, roads, installation of utility lines etc.

Residential, commercial, foreclosure/ REO, relocation?

I'm originally from NYC, am working in GA, but will re-locate to CO for work in the summer.

Will people who relocated there stay long term?

@Kenneth Hynes By long term, I mean 10+ years. 2-5 years tenant, I understand, because they either have to relocate due to their job or they just simply are not ready to settle down.

Moving into a rural area, for example isn't an option.I wil be relocating to the new city and immediately look for a full time job.

I am currently overseas and will likely relocate to the northern Virginia area this summer (2017) where I hope to buy a primary residence (likely another SFH) with an investor's mindset to live in for 2-3 years before having to move again and convert to a rental.
