Then the remodel will take twice as long or cost twice as much or the contractors mother will die and he'll be out of town settling her estate for 3 months...

Hello- i was looking through for foreclosure notices on my county newspaper and found an old neighbor that was listed- i contacted him and turns out his mother passed away two years ago (they were both on the loan).

On one of the notes that defaulted after my father passed, my mother did not receive notice as the attorney put the notice address as their office instead of my parents' home, and that attorney passed on -- office closed several years back, so she didn't know until it was too late. 

Even the time investment for the learning necessary to pull this off would not have made sense if I were someone else, let alone a full-time working single mother.
