Not to hijack, but I wanted to thank @Thomas Rutkowski for giving me a different way of looking at some life insurance products for RE investing - the water cooler experts seem to bash those types of insurance products on the basis of hear say...Thanks to @Charlie Fitzgerald for showing your position on the matter.

No matter what you do, you MUST plug in to all the local resources and build relationships!

Chances are they already have a price set so it doesn't matter if you are new or not.

The lesser of $100k or 10% of the lesser of their annual income or net worth if their annual net worth AND income are each $100k(annually for the numbers above)So they can always invest $2k in an offering no matter what the circumstances are provided they have the money.
