The market value of a property usually doesn't dictate the insurance amount unless you've chosen to insure the property for what is known as actual cash value. 

For example if you can show more assets than the actual loan does that help you get qualified etc.

I'd compare prices of metal vs shingle to see which one actually cost more before picking which one to use.

Has anyone mentioned that the Federal Government does not recognize single member LLCs and they actually give you much less protection that you think? 

And there is actually a level at which your agi income makes a difference.Safe to say that $500K is going to cost you a minimum of $100K and possibly up to $200K depending on all of those variables.

It depends on the intention and actual facts, in other words it's case-by-case. 

But when yo start to actuall ythink about it you will start to realize that looking for distressed properties doesn't mean much.You are not looking for a distressed property.
