Boric Acid (which is in powder form) works well, spread under appliances; under new base cabinets at install; in the wall voids whenever you open a wall for repair; under carpet pads and around the perimeter of rooms before base trim goes on; inside base cabinets toward the very back; and other fairly inaccessible and dark places you can find.
