That being said, RE trends have proven to continue rising in the long-run and if you're purchasing a property that cash flows with the intention of holding it long-term, you might lose some equity as a downturn hits but those are all paper losses and you'll be able to ride it out with the cash flow.Cheers,Andrew

if you have one loan servicer, the snowball method wont do anything. imy reccomendation is to pay off any loans over 5% quickly, and let tbe rest ride. having a student loan account may likely be adding 4 years to your credit report history, assuming you havent been using credit cards while in school

I suggest he stays, do not pay any more rent, and ride it out till the weather breaks assuming he can tolerate the conditions.Worse case the bank will take over and months down the road will ask him to leave.
