We are seeing this in the RE investment arena, but it is an easier mental leap to invest elsewhere than to move your life.

I have a neighbor of our duplex, who is on section 8, who has essentially bragged to us about "not paying rent until the door screen on the storm door gets fixed"... stuff like that. .. it's a different mentality .. 

She has been drug through all of this too and her credit is shot, as is her mental and physical health.

Sounds far fetched when I talk to others without the investor mentality but with right resources this will be accomplished.

Not to mention making more in a couple of deals than most people  make in half a year.True there are many variables, but that is what keeps it exciting and yes, mentally stimulating.

I'd mentally note the differences in the appliances, BUT it would not affect how much more/less I would pay for the property.
