I have umbrella policy for years from PersonalUmbrella.com....Could never figure out who they are or whether they are legit?????

Most legit HML's don't charge for that and you need to be very wary of any of those that require upfront fees besides an appraisal/BPO and/or a credit check. 

I don't think there are any legit excuses for that kind of misrepresentation.

I encourage you to check with your own attorney to get a lender's estoppel letter, owners affidavit and make sure this is legit.

I would love to do this since it would add quite a few miles but I don't know if it is legit. 

Even people who use equity proceeds on a vacation or a new car or to blow at the casino or whatever - they can still deduct primary residence loan interest on Schedule A (or wherever appropriate).

I've heard about roofstock, which seems pretty legit, but it specializes in SFR.

good one  like to see real estate professionals who take title and resell.. makes it all legit in my mind.

I wouldn't stop marketing this property either, these buyers should be seen as having no money unless they show legit proof of funds.I'd suggest consulting an attorney or just listing with an agent.  

Just wanted to know if these types of listings are legit or was I right with my gut feeling?
