So we are in the process of getting the lien release voided, and figured I would also reach out the prior servicer, which is still in business, to see the payment history, as my research showed they modified the loan in October, 2010, and they both signed it, so she was back on the hook, and they stopped paying in June of 2012, 19 payments later, so I figured unless she won the lottery, she did not pay it off.

Hey @Juan Francisco im new to BP aswell and would love to learn more about buy and hold strategies as well.....I always felt weird about the whole "Subject to" thing....would the liability still stay on the seller if payments werent made?

I have an excellent day job that will afford me time to research and find properties (online) but i do not have any money for a down payment right now and am trying to dig out of CC debt right now that was necessary for me to buy my own new house and move.I gave my other house to my wife, we are amicable.

My guess is that the Brokerage might object to this but I wonder if an escrow company might be able to collect the payments to the seller and pay the realtor on a monthly basis out of this money?

We are willing to move and live there for a year or more as long as we get the 3.5% for down payment.
