I've heard that in the state of New Jersey individuals can't lend to other individuals?

Most banks have the ability to do a master escrow account, with sub accounts for each tenant, that you (the landlord) control.New Jersey also has the requirement to place security deposits in escrow.

I am 25 years old and from New Jersey.

We live in New Jersey (40 mins from New York City) and wanted the rental to be in 1-2 hour drive radius.

I have a loan with them on another property in jersey ha.

I want to use this OD as my seed money for when we visit the US later in the year possibly  going there May -June and staying through until to August- September.I have been searching non stop these last few days on Redfin Zillow and Trulia Mostly concentrating around New Jersey and upstate New York in and around Albany.I have a sister in-law living in Somerville Nj and good friends living in  Schenectady NY I have looked at  a few places that I like and even messaged a real estate agent in Albany  asking for more details  on the property ( no reply as yet)  i think has potential.

There are some good markets in Jersey as well.

When I moved to Jersey, I joined a traditional firm, and so far, its just been an added expense for me as I am only planing on buying and working with F & F also.

I'm in New Jersey, they said they don't do equity lines on duplexes.
