If I repainted I'd be doing it to get the "wow" factor (and fresh-paint smell) of a completely repainted apartment, not because any walls are so bad currently that potential tenants would look at them and run.I no there's no one-size-fits-all answer, but generally speaking, which of these upgrades would deliver the biggest bang for the buck?

Passive income from a single property would not have been enough to live off of.This left me with 3 options: The wishful option: Keep my job in San Francisco for another 6 or so months, apply for a loan to purchase a house in the Denver area (ideally a duplex, but man good ones are tough to find right now).

We have a 100 y/o single family buy&hold in Missouri and would like to turn the attic into usable space. ideally we could keep the rafters exposed in keeping with the character of the home, so the standard 6 inch fiberglass would not work.
