Most these days don't want to see an LTV over 80% total for all loans.My encouragement to you would be to start out learning about how to buy real estate profitably without actually buying any, and meanwhile be saving up for that first deal.

My apartment complex didn't change any rules either, they still required rent and encouraged student loans if they could't afford rent.
