What caused the ceiling damage?  

Hey if I have a bummer tenant can I get them out in 3 to 6 months or is it going to be a year.. and what happens when they do 5k worth of damage i have to pay for to re rent. 

To a person they were all relieved...because of another STR on the block having been kept immaculate and they were already seeing how nice I was making it compared to how it had been for years.

There is obvious water damage on the ceiling and near the shower and the bathroom the floor below.

Right zip code, little damage How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

It might not be the most popular suggestion, but I would rather spend some bucks and reduce headaches, not have an irate tenant for a few months, and greatly reduce a tenant from squatting/damaging the place on his/her way out.

It was cancelled that day and I was told it was due to Hurricane Ida impacting my zip code and they had to be sure my home was not damaged.

Preety much both bathrooms have mold and cabinets are all destroyed with water damager etc so we have a lot of work in 10 of thousands of dollares. 

My ground floor tenant had minor water damage after Ida ripped through NY on September 1st.

In general it means there is opportunity perhaps the home is badly damaged to where most wouldn't buy it or other investors have tried to get a deal but the seller wont come down from their price.
