Christopher,Commercial Insurance for apartment complexes is not a market that all Insurance companies play in. 

If your HOA runs well, then invest in your complex.

It’s so complex and seems like so much potential for bankruptcy that my burning desire is matched by anxiety.

A Florida lawsuit (involving a convicted sex offender rather than a vicious dog) is being filed against the owners and managers of an apartment complex, claiming they could have prevented a tragedy if they had been on the ball.

And then there’s the added complexity that if the lender did have to foreclose on their collateral, they now own a fraction of an asset for which they have no control and no secondary market with which to sell.My guess is you are more likely to just find an unsecured signature line of credit.  

They are supposed to be great in the smaller markets I am not sure how they are for bigger complexes.  

Is the large apartment complex dead?

I know taxes are a bit more complex as Dual member...)Also, I have an LLC and own a property free & clear (which I do now) and do a cash out- can I take that cash as a draw for personal use / investing or is would that be co-mingling effectively negating the point of the LLC?

Once you have a few millions in the bank sue go buy a complex for passive income.
