The only difference between "walls-in / original design" and "all-inclusive" type insurance is that the condo association's policy would actually pick up coverage for any upgrades made within your unit.

I've had several properties where I wanted to use wood floors, granite, other upgrades etc... but at the end of the day my realtor talks me out of it because I wont recover the rehab portion of the investment.
