Once you go STR investment, you never will go back to the traditional long term strategy!

Rental income with a traditional 30yr fixed shows about 440 NOI/mo with the equity I'm basically buying.

I recently started a new job and I don't qualify for a traditional mortgage for that amount.

I've changed my mindset over the past few years after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad and have since been learning all I can about investing and figuring out which path is ultimately the best for me moving forward.  

As you mention, you can refinance later and pull out some equity to go buy more projects.You can get rich flipping properties, but you will not build Wealth…in my opinion.

        A year ago I decided to wanted to become a real estate investor after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki , and I had no idea how to get started in this arena. 

My target area is especially rich in the well-built stock.

But if this gets you into the market at a lower cost than a traditional sale then maybe it is worth it......?
