Thank you BiggerPockets

A year ago I decided to wanted to become a real estate investor after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki , and I had no idea how to get started in this arena. I drive for work and decided to turn my truck into a mobile classroom. Where I would listen to BiggerPockets podcasts and Rich Dad Radio show interviews. The first time I saw Brandon and David on a BP podcast, I listened and they just made sense, there advice on how to get started was simple and easy to understand. I also listened to videos on YouTube by Ken McElroy and read his book The ABC's of Real estate investing. I listened to Robert share his story on how his real estate instructor made him analyze 100 properties in 90 days and write a page of each property, what he liked and didn't like, so I found an agent and went searching all over Louisville and Indiana for properties. However I fell short of attaining my first property in 90 days due to lack of education. So I kept listening to Robert ,Ken , David and Brandon. I signed up for the free  BP webinars they offered and took notes.

The biggest thing that helped me not give up was Brandon sharing his stories of mishaps and mistakes that he made. His stories allowed me to keep things in perspective when all my offers got rejected and understand that its a process and to not give up and go watch Dancing  With The Stars. Is that show still on? Anyways, 13 months later and a ton of rejected offers, I am so Happy to announce I am a real estate investor I got my first deal (white belt). Thanks to Brandon and David for the podcasts and your books they have helped me tremendously, also thanks to the BP community for helping me with insights and different perspectives.

    Thanks,

           Shane Rojas
