Not sure how well you know your builder but based on my experience with ours this is what I would do differently next time, especially if for investment purposes:1.

I know of a few real estate investors currently serving prison sentences for intentionally misstating the purpose of a mortgage loan.

there are controversial subject matter just like marching Clayton Morris on a pod cast or touting wholesaling  some like it some don't  .. but we do all have to remember many many folks on this station their sole purpose in our industry  is to get the absolute best deal they can for themselves with no regard to anything but their criteria or needs or wants.. 

This seems like a gray area since I'd be working entirely on land that I live on, but the purpose would be to create a rental unit.Thanks!

As to having tenants deposit rent into your account at the local bank, I heard of this method, but for security reasons, have a separate account set up solely for this purpose, and the funds are removed immediately into your account.

I'm leaning towards a community Bank so I can build a relationship within the bank for future investing purposes or is that overrated?

Please note the differences in the affidavits and commitments on investment purpose and amount of time staying at the properties for these two loan options...
