Real Estate Professional Status (REPS) hours for building ADU?

Hi all. First post, be gentle.

I have a dream of building an ADU in the back yard of my primary residence. If I hypothetically use this ADU as a short term rental, would my construction time count toward REPS hours? This seems like a gray area since I'd be working entirely on land that I live on, but the purpose would be to create a rental unit.
