Call LAPD and ask about the complex and the area.Has LAPD pulled out of the area and it's now patrolled by the Sheriffs department or State Police due to massive overwhelming crime.Also are most of the other apartment buildings on the street matchy-matchy, or are the buildings very dissimilar?

even if it does not completely hide it, it will show the buyers you recognize the issue, and when the bushes grow a bit, their view will be nicer.Bamboo grows really fast but is massively invasive and should be 'curbed in' which would probably cost more than the fencing.what about pine trees?

Structural members are often true dimensional (the house I was looking at had massive joists.)If you're doing it from afar, you really need to get someone on the ground who has experience with old houses.

I would have to pay UBTI, but it won't be a massive amount because I won't be making a huge amount of money in the short term. 15 years from now, those properties will all be nearly paid for, if not paid in full and I would have all of the equity and income to use as I see fit in retirement.

Decent point, but I don't think that it's too much of a worry:  IMHO:The supply of Rentals in Bushwick is nothing compared to the massive oversupply of (low-quality) rentals in Bed-StuyOf all the Brooklyn Rentals I've seen, South-East Bushwick rentals tend to be, on the whole, the nicest, highest-quality and most expertly renovated (and thus offer the best value.)The benefits of South-East Bushwick are innate and won't dissipate regardless of Rental supply: Great access to multiple Subway Lines, Multiple Parks & Greenspace: (Ex: Irving Square Park, Tiger Playground, Bushwick Playground)Great 'Livability': Beautiful Townhouse Architecture, calm, quiet streets with mature trees while still close to Bushwick's best Bars, Restaurants, Boutiques, Cafe's & Lounges.

They were nickle and dime suits that in no way exposed him to some sort of cataclysmic liability.Setting aside committing fraud on a massive scale in some sort of ponzi-esque scheme, I view an SFR investor's greatest potential liability as some sort of wrongful death/massive injury case in which there are egregious circumstances.
