I am new to real estate but since I was a kid I have been crazy about the art of making money and how self made million and billionaires got to where they are.

One slip up and the deal falls apart - and with the average sale price of over a million, people are not doing it themselves, nor should they be.  

My partner and I are in contract to purchase a franchise that has the potential to make millions. 

Making it a rooming house wouldn't be my approach, but what they are suggesting isn't that far fetched.  

The trainer was talking about negative people always trying to keep you down, which is true, you need to surround yourself with good people, my motto is "it is hard to soar like an eagle if you hang out with a bunch of turkeys" also if you roll around with dogs you are gonna get some fleas.... there is a million sayings, you get the point.

I would be willing to go up to one million, including purchase plus rehab.Have any of you partnered with a "bird dogger" or wholesaler before?

There are a million people doing it, and a dozen TV shows glorifying it.  

I suspect in your market there are many agents who make well in excess of a million a year I know here in PDX  there are many who make 500 to a million...

BTW a 32' wide lot with a teardown recently sold in Vancouver for $2.7 million CDN - $300,000 over the asking price.
