Maybe not duplexes...if it cashflows and CDs are still below 2% you’ve got to wonder.

Ideas for Cinder Block WallsHas anyone done anything creative to cover cinder block walls on the interior?

I am thinking of purchasing a duplex or triplex here in Montreal with around a 40-50% deposit, with the intention of holding onto it until I achieve 100% equity - then possibly resell and make a bigger play with the capital.

Undecided whether I should use my VA loan and purchase a duplex which is about $380,000 zero down and use the down payment money for repairs and upgrading each unit.On the other hand I can remain renting in Seattle, save money and invest on multifamily property outside the state of Washington.

Excuse the in-depth (with numbers) type of question, but I think that the best start for me is to house hack a duplex.
