Basically, my expense deductions for the property were very close in amount to the income, so the property didn't generate much of a profit.

My grandfather started this business in the late 60s and we are still going strong 2 generations later.

The units are in the process of being upgraded by the current owner and may generate higher rent once upgraded,  Possibly $750 each for a total gross rent of $6000. 

I would like to start off house hacking and eventually work my way up to generating enough passive income to just relax a bit and enjoy my time with my son.
