I have a lease agreement but I was wondering if anyone knows of a lawyer that could review it in the Salt Lake City area.

Present your plan and ask for feedback rather than asking for a plan.Also be sure to take things with a grain of salt.  

Use an open-cell spray foam.

If we replace, we prorate the cost to take into account ordinary wear and tear, and the life expectancy of the item.If the cats sprayed their urine in the residence, then the damages could be significant.

Before you start either bat or blown in, get a few cans of spray foam and go in attic and seal any holes or gaps. 

I figured you must have some connection to a Solar contractor.If you focus on energy efficiently, did you look into spray foam?

If you have multiple wythe of brick, you should be able to either affix 2- 4" (in layers of 1", 1.5"  or 2") of foil faced polyisocyanurate rigid insulation (tape all seams and stagger the seams of each layer), or spray the inner surface with 2 - 4" of closed cell spray foam insulation.  

I'm going to Salt Lake City tomorrow for the national competition and I am leaving for new mexico the weekend after that.
