They are based on what each partner is responsible for, and/or what active roles they take.Whenever I do a partnership, the other partner usually wants 50% automatically...even though they may only be bringing in the cash. 

If anyone has a good mentor suggestion or is willing to possibly fill that role and stear me on the right path that would be incredibly appreciated and I promise not to waste your time with this.

I think it gets tricky if you want to take investment money from someone who won't get an active role.

If there is a true market failure, state and federal governments have an important role to play in the form of incentives (subsidies, tax credits) or safety nets (vouchers). 

Anything beyond that, that is what travel insurance is for and they should have exercised that option if/when available. 

I believe platforms exist to combined a lot of these functions into one platform, and grow into as I add partners/employees to take on these roles. 

The rental home has a mortgage balance of $111,000 if that plays a role in your answer. I expect my capital gains taxes to be north of $30,000 from the sale but I’m not really sure how to calculate what it will end up being.
