I don't look at doing these things as intrusive at all; it's my investment and I'm entitled to protect it, plus my lease spells out that I will be doing so.

Rent to own/ or more commonly Lease Options in Florida are very specific the way you word them for your protection and I would assume again a local attorney would be best.
