Hi, Hopefully posting this to the right forum category.i did an inspection today on a commercial property consisting of 2 office buildings (4 tenants in one building and 1 tenant in the other with one vacancy) and a residential unit (2 tenants). 

I would recommend also going to the County Assessors office or calling and asking if they will reassess your property, or any conversation, as you will be adding an additional bedroom/bath. 

With the case from that article, it seems to me the developer is just taking some profit by letting go of the retail space and focusing on the office space.
