I am wondering how others have continued to finance purchases beyond the 10 Fannie/Freddie loans (that have very nice rates and 30 year terms).  

It seems there is a significant discrepancy with the cost of housing (very high) and rent (much lower then the cost of housing).

You've probably heard of big Landlords losing property, but only because they were flagrantly violating Fair Housing, running a slum, or otherwise violating the law in an egregious manner.
