Any recommendations for Structural Engineers near or in Anne Arundel County MD?

For example - I have a background in Chemical Engineering and sales.  

By profession, I am a Chief Building Operating Engineer for a large, well established, privately held company in the Chicagoland Western Suburbs.

I do have a background in Engineering so I am used to taking tests and exams.

After you have paid for the foundation to be repaired by a contractor, will you need a Structural Engineer to sign off on these repairs, or do Cities need to inspect this in-house?
