If I have to put out effort it's because they have violated their option and I get to keep the option fee or it is an insurance claim where I have money coming to me as well - granted with hassles of repairs and insurance claims, but money is coming to me one way or another if I have to get "re-involved" including selling with owner financing where I get paid again.I explain ways to save money to my optionees before they do business with me.

Both pointed fingers to the bank and the insurance company noted on the engineers executive summary and said they would need to approve a release.I spent some time on the phone with the insurance company, gave them the claim# and address and finally they came back and said that by law they could only release this to the previous owners.
